African Football Digital Benchmark

RESULT Sports continues to support African Football by identifying the opportunities for athletes clubs, leagues and federations. In the latest study, completed in August 2020, RESULT entered some groundbreaking area.

For the first time, the Instagram platform performance has been analyzed to review the post types, the engagement and the video views for the Top25 African football clubs on this platform.

It was our goal to create visuals which feature a lot of information in a single format, so we integrated five clubs into one analytical format and feature six key topics on each visual:

Left Column – Top: Total Number of Posts from January 1st to July 31st 2020

Left Column – Bottom: The amount of video posts for the same period

Middle Column – Top: The total engagement achieved for the club

Middle Column – Bottom: The total amount of video views for all videos

Right Column – Top: The average engagement for a single post

Right Column – Bottom: The average video views per video post
